I get joy from shopping online and having things magically appear, I also get joy from taking my daughter shopping—and not because it’s a cliché. Whether it’s an ingredient for dinner (and she’s more engaged at the table later), or a skirt (that she then takes pride in wearing), or we’re both just window shopping, I like the feeling of an old school shop and hang.
